Vibe Communications is headed up by Vic Beck, an experienced strategic communication and
public relations executive who has been prominently featured in PRWeek
magazine, PRSA Tactics magazine and the Boston Globe. He has 20 years of experience developing and implementing
communication plans and strategies at agencies, in corporations, and in the military.
Agency – During his tenure at five PR agencies some of his accomplishments
include coordinating media relations for Lycos prior to the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO), opening the Boston
office for an international high-tech PR agency and working on numerous national and international communication campaigns
and projects.
Corporate – As the head of corporate
communications for ATG (Art Technology Group, Nasdaq: ARTG) he spearheaded the most successful product launch in company history
- it was recognized by the Publicity Club of New England as one of the most successful product or services launches of the
year. At ePresence (Nasdaq: EPRE; formerly Banyan Systems, Nasdaq: BNYN), it was Vic's communication activities that
significantly raised the profile of the company, ending in its acquisition by Unisys. He also oversaw the corporate
PR strategy, implementation and activities conducted by Switchboard Incorporated (Nasdaq: SWBD), a Banyan company, prior
to and during the company’s IPO.
Government – Vic is a Navy Captain in the reserve who was recalled to active duty from April 2007
to May 2008. After being a spokesman for Pan-Arab and international press in Dubai, he was hand-selected
to go to Baghdad. In Iraq, he served as the Chief of Media Operations for the Multi-National Force-Iraq during
the surge of operations. He has been actively involved in several major military public affairs activities
throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East. During his 25-year Navy Reserve career he has earned more than a
dozen medals for personal achievement, including a bronze star.
